  • How does numbers show up as Spam Likely?
    Each wireless carrier uses a combination of databases and call analytics to identify potential unwanted calls. The TRACED Act authorized telecom carriers to take steps to cut down on robocalls (one of the biggest complaints to the Federal Communications Commission every year for the last five years). The steps that telecom carriers take includes using various databases to identify caller ID numbers that have been flagged as spam, scam, or telemarketer in the past, plus a number of other real-time call data points. Some of the known or suspected data points include call duration, call attempts from a Caller ID number, and frequency of call attempts to the same phone number.   The good news is that calls signed with a SHAKEN A Attestation (token) will not be blocked or mislabeled by the carriers. The A Attestation Token is a trusted call in the telecom ecosystem.
  • How can I check if my phone number is marked as spam?
    QVD offers a free test to identify if your phone number(s) are marked as spam. We will give you 4 phone numbers to call. Then we’ll give you the test results.
  • What can i do to fix my phone number which is marked as a spam likely?

    While there are some steps that can be taken to fix your phone number, it is somewhat time consuming and not easy to do. It it is necessary to get it unmarked as spam, ie if it is a main business phone number or a published phone number, the most straightforward next step is to talk with the team at Quality Voice & Data. Our telecom experts will create a plan to get your number removed from spam lists. If the number can easily be replaced, the team at QVD will help you replace the number(s) and create a proactive plan that minimizes the likelihood of your Caller ID numbers getting marked as spam likely in the future.
