Try it now: Branded Calling ID (BCID) Pricing & ROI Calculator
Caller reputation is everything.
87% of consumers want to see the calling company’s name on incoming calls to authenticate them. 80% of consumers block calls form numbers they don’t recognize.
There’s a reason it’s one of our core focuses at Quality Voice & Data. It doesn’t matter how good your sales person is. It doesn't matter how good your lead list is. If your phone numbers are showing up as “Spam Likely”, or aren’t helping build trust with consumers by showing your brand logo, name, and reason for call well… then your outbound campaigns are dead on arrival.
And we’ve seen first hand the impact Branded Calling has on outbound success. We’re one of the leading providers authorized to onboard customers onto Branded Calling ID™. Currently, our customers make up one of the largest contributors to BCID’s global adoption & they’ve seen significant & measurable performance improvements as a result.
But this article isn’t about Caller Reputation. It’s about helping brands understand the cost benefit of incorporating Branded Calling ID (BCID) into their telecom stack.
Until recently there’s not been a way for large companies to quantify the value of BCID.
We strongly believe in the ROI of BCID but it’s not free. There’s costs associated to it, and it’s hard for brands to understand what that ROI is.
That’s why we built the first-ever BCID Pricing Calculator. The tool uses Monte Carlo modeling on millions of simulated phone calls to help predict the impact and ROI BCID might have on your campaigns.
Why We Built the Calculator
We get two questions all the time:
- Is Branded Caller ID worth the investment?
- When is Verizon coming onboard?
Well, it was officially announced that BCID is launching on Verizon after T-Mobile’s successful launch earlier this year.
But more importantly, the “is it worth the investment” question needed answering. We’ve seen success internally with our customers –improved answer rates, and improved conversion rates.
Never the less, trying to model out the actual impact of BCID is difficult with so many factors from reducing the number of call attempts, conversion rates, spam reputation, and more….
So we build a data-driven framework that predicts the impact given your own inputs and assumptions to make the process a lot easier. Since it’s launch we’ve heard nothing but great things from our clients and prospects so we’re sharing it with the world.
It’s finally a tool brands need to help understand the ROI and detailed impacts of their campaign.
The Methodology
We didn’t just rely on a simple spreadsheet approach with basic assumptions and calculations. The interactions of BCID on campaign success is complex and we needed an approach that would allow us to incorporate the impact. Our model uses a Monte Carlo simulation that many statisticians use for finance, insurance, and risk modeling. Here’s how it works:
- 1 Million Simulated Calls: The calculator runs over a million simulated call attempts with and without BCID. We then model how campaigns play out in the real world.
- Probabilistic Outcomes: Answer rates, conversions, and retries are treated as probabilities and not treated as fixed assumptions. This allows for natural variations in the results.
- Cost Modeling: We layer in everything from the cost of agent wages, wasted time from call durations, your lead costs, retry rates and so forth.
- Capacity Constraints: It scales results based on available agent time and average call handling so make sure projections reflect real operational limits.
The result? A directional but realistic forecast of how BCID impacts revenue, costs, and ROI for your specific operation.
What It Reveals
In our baseline model, adding BCID improved ROI by over 40%, boosted answered calls by 33%. This mimics some of the success we’ve seen from our clients internal data who are leveraging BCID on our platform. Now, our clients get the added benefit of both BCID & our Trusted Call Completion product suite that already helps improve answer rates.
While every business is different, the calculator demonstrates one thing consistently: BCID can be a profit driver.
Why It Matters
If you think BCID is a “nice-to-have”, we hope this tool shows it can have a measurable lift helping make those budget discussions with finance and leadership that much easier.
… And when you’re ready, QVD is here to help you implement BCID at scale—compliantly, reliably, and with the industry’s leading expertise.
